FAmrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan were one of the best couples of Bollywood. Both of them fell in love on the sets of the film and after that they decided to get married. There was also a difference of 12 years in the age of Amrita and Saif. Both were very happy after marriage but after some time there was a rift in their relationship. Amrita and Saif’s relationship reached that point that they decided to get a divorce. Saif-Amrita got married in 1991 and the couple separated in 2004. After the divorce, while Saif Ali Khan had made many allegations on Amrita, Amrita remained silent. Years later, Amrita talked about her marriage, children and divorce in an interview.
In an interview given to Zoom, Amrita Singh revealed why she kept quiet even after the divorce. She also said that she returned to showbiz for the sake of her children.
Why did you maintain silence?
In a special conversation with Pooja Batra, Amrita told why she maintained silence at the time of divorce. She said – because a lot had been said in the media, what would I have said or done about it. That was my personal emotion and I did not want to share it with anyone. I did not think I should share it with anyone. At that time, I had other priorities like my children and especially myself. I had to deal with myself. Media and interested people were not my priority.
I didn’t want my children to be brought up like this
Amrita further said- I had to come out of all these things very quickly because I didn’t want my children to grow up in such a way that they feel that they have been left with loser parents. I could have stayed at home and cried over my situation. But I didn’t want my children to lose to such a situation in life.
Let us tell you that Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan have two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan. Amrita has raised both her children alone. Sara and Ibrahim are often seen spending time with their father. Not only this, both of them also visit Saif and Kareena’s house on many functions.
